Grandy’s Room is a private, chat room based application that helps seniors stay emotionally connected to friends and loved ones. Designed for simplicity and emotional resonance, where loved ones can share messages, updates, and photos in a warm personal environment.
Grandy’s Room creates digital spaces where presence matters more than posts. Loved ones feel more connected. Seniors feel seen. And operators become not just participants - but partners in solving loneliness and supporting resident well-being.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to reducing senior loneliness and the burden of guilt felt by their loved ones trying to be present in each other’s lives. We believe meaningful digital presence should feel warm, personal, and effortless.
We will create a space where every older adult feels included in everyday life - even from a distance. While respecting their dignity, privacy, and innate desire not to impose. Grandy’s Room connects people in a more meaningful way than any digital option available.
What Makes Grandy’s Room Different?
Curated Senior Chat Rooms - The primary senior determines who joins their chat room, like a text thread that is built around them. Within the chat room all users can share messages, photos, and support for each other.
Mood Buttons - The primary senior can select and notify all of their loved ones if they are “Content” or “Not Ok”. If they select “Not Ok” then a gently push notification is sent to their loved ones letting them know, so they can be there for support.
Presence Roster - People are busy and certain times of day may be better to connect than others. Within the chat room an availability roster is available to see what times of day someone is best available. That way seniors know when their loved ones are available, and when they are available to their loved ones.
